Established in 1993, NUS Centre For the Arts (CFA) contributes to wholistic education by promoting research, learning and appreciation of the arts through partnerships within NUS as well as with organizations in Singapore and beyond. Presenting a vibrant arts calendar for the University, CFA activities add to the NUS experience, and help inspire and develop artistic talents on campus.

CFA’s performing arts programmes can be categorised into these major platforms:

  • NUS Arts Festival (Feb – Mar): With the best campus talents and professional acts, this festival has something for everyone in the campus’ laidback milieu.
  • Dance Reflections (Sep): An annual dance season every September showcasing the talents of CFA’s six multicultural and modern dance groups, each led by leading choreographers of Singapore’s dance scene.
  • ExxonMobil Campus Concerts (Jan – Jun, Aug – Oct): A free concert series, showcasing both student and established talents – sponsored by ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd since 1986.
  • Ones to Watch: This platform introduces young, talented, vibrant performers who engage and inspire youth. The year 2007 saw the first performance of this series – a recital by worldclass American violinist, Rachel Barton Pine.
