The Singapore Story
The Singapore Story, by Dr L Subramaniam with NUS Indian Instrumental Ensemble presents the predominant narrative of Singapore's history viewed through the lens of the rasas, using music as the medium of storytelling.

City Night Songs
In this compelling piece of devised theatre by Checkpoint Theatre and NUS Stage, an ensemble of professionals and NUS students will write and perform a series of interlinked stories and songs that bring to life the untold tales of the urban landscape.

The Hungry Stones
Hungry Stones, performed by Raka Maitra with NUS Indian Dance weaves dance, music and installation to explore themes of isolation and confinement , as the role of women evolves within traditional Asian society and globalization lands women into a westernized, post-feminist world.

Curtains Up! Disappearing Trades of Our Time
Returning to the NUS Arts Festival for the second year, Asian Contemporary Ensemble revisits the lost trades of Asia through creative and critical interpretations in contemporary music.

Welcome to the NUS Arts Festival 2012, happening over three weekends from 9 - 25 March. This 7th year, we celebrate the hustle and bustle of vibrant Asian Cities.

The Fest’s larger shows are divided into platforms of City Centre, Inner Cities and Heartlands. Fringe events are grouped into LIVE! (gigs), Picturehouse (film screenings) and Freeway (selected free performances, workshops and installations).

This unique festival brings together youthful arts talents and stellar industry professionals in the lively landscape of the NUS campus. Brimming with original works and collaborative adaptations across many genres, the Fest is one that will entertain and perhaps even enlighten.
