Vacancies for Part-time Work

The Writing and Communication Hub (WCH) of the Centre for English Language Communication (CELC) welcomes applications for the position of Writing Tutor from suitably qualified GRADUATE & UNDERGRADUATE students, who will be responsible for helping fellow students with their writing and communication needs.

Some details:

  • Training session: Saturday, 31 August 2013
  • WCH stations: UTown, Central Library, and CELC Building
  • Hours of commitment: 4-12 hours/week
  • Remuneration: $10/hour for undergraduates; $12-$15/hour for graduate students

To apply, you need to be

  • competent at written and oral communication in English
  • willing to help others write and communicate better
  • patient and responsible
  • punctual for all your WCH sessions
  • committed to attending WCH training and feedback sessions

Your application should include a resume, a short write up on why you think you will be a suitable candidate for this job, and one or two writing samples of yours.
