Gary Torremucha is currently teaching in the Teacher Education Program of the College of Teacher Education at Phranakhon Rajabhat University in Bangkok. He teaches on both Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.  He is now developing courses like Communicative English through Media, Creative Writing, Academic Communication, Introduction to Classroom Research, Seminars and Meetings, Presentations and Discussions, and basic language courses for non-English major students.  He is particularly interested in promoting the use of modern technology in classroom teaching and learning.  

Before working for Phranakhon Rajabhat University, Gary worked as Assistant Director of Rangsit University English Language Institute and as Marketing Director of Rangsit Bilingual School. He is now pursuing a Doctoral degree in Educational Studies.

Ajarn Gary is a committee member of Phranakhon Language and ASEAN Center (PLACE), a center charged with providing training to Thai/foreign students and teachers. 

Ms. Pichamon Jamrassri is English lecturer in the English program (B.Ed), Phranakhon Rajabhat University. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Language and Communication from National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Thailand. She has eight years of experience in teaching English both in public and private universities in Thailand. Currently, she teaches reading to students majoring in English, and English for Communication and Study Skills to non- English major students.
Besides teaching, she is Head of the Center for Academic Excellence, Phranakhon Rajabhat University, which focuses on professional development and knowledge management in the university. Her research interests are translation, and professional development.  

Wilaichitra Nilsawaddi has been the Head of English Program (Teacher Education) at Phranakhon Rajabhat University (PNRU) since 2006. She also has served as the coordinator of a General Education course titled English for English for Communication and Study Skills, a compulsory module for graduation. At present, she is the Director of PNRU Language and ASEAN Centre and also the Assistant to the President. She has been working as an English instructor for 34 years at both secondary school level and university level.

Sumitra Pankulbadee is currently a full-time lecturer in the English programme at Phranakhon Rajabhat University. She obtained her M.Ed. (Teaching English as a Foreign Langauge) from Silpakorn University, and her B.A. (English Language and Literature) from Srinakharinwirote University, Thailand. She has 15 years of experience in teaching English to undergraduate students at three Rajabhat Universities, namely Suan Dusit, Buriram, and Phranakhon in that order. She started her teaching career as an instructor of English at a secondary school in Ayudhaya and taught there for six years. Her research interests are in reading strategies, extensive reading, error analysis, discourse analysis, ESP, second language acquisition and EFL teaching.

Dr.Prathana Padungpote is currently a lecturer in the faculty of Humanities and Social Science, English (B.Ed) at Phranakhon Rajabhat University(10 years).She teaches Introduction to Linguistics, Practical English Phonetics, Paragraph Reading Strategies and Reading for Text Interpretation to graduate students in the College of Teacher Education(CTE). Prior to her current position, she worked for Language Centre, PNRU, where she has done corporate projects and English training for Immigration Polices, Tourist Polices, and Air force Nursing Students. She is involved in the development of curriculum, materials and assessment.

She obtained her Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction at Kasetsart University, M.Ed.(Educational Linguistics) from Srinakharinwirot University and her B.Ed (English Education) with second class honor from Chandrakasem Rajabhat University.

Her special interests are phonology,curriculum development and student learning styles.

Dr. Kannaphat Nithitwaraphakun is currently a lecturer of Business English Program in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science at Phranakhon Rajabhat University (PNRU) in Bangkok. With 7 years experience of teaching various courses for undergraduate students like Public Speaking in English, Diction and Speech, English for Business Presentation, English for Public Relations, English for Hotel, Business English, Analytical Reading, Controlled Writing, English for Business Communication, and English for Specific Purposes as well as Thai Language and Thai Cultures for Foreign English Teachers in Thai Culture Training organized by Language and ASEAN Center. She has also taught Business English for Communication to gradated students. Her main areas of interest are pronunciation, oral presentation and business communication as well as teaching methodologies.

She received her Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Kasetsart University, M.Ed. (Teaching English) from Srinakharinwirot University and her B.A.(English) from Ramkhamhaeng University. Her doctoral studies described a sequenced course model between English for Hotel and Hotel Principles. She also conducted a study of problem, self-confident, and attitudes in English communication of freshmen year students at PNRU.

Kannaphat currently serves as a committee member of the office of International Affairs. During the summer, she coordinates Arts and Cultural Performances programs for the office of Arts and Culture at PNRU as well as traveled extensively overseas.

Rachada Pranom is currently a lecturer of the English Language Department in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University, Chachoengsao, Thailand.  She has a BA (Major – Japanese; Minor – English and Linguistics) from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and an MA (English) from Naresuan University, Phitsanulok Province.    

After working for some Japanese companies in Thailand, she decided to become a teacher and thus has been teaching at Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University for the past six years. Her duties at the university include teaching English language courses at  general to advanced level, for example, English for Study Skills, English for Academic Purpose, and English for General Reading and Writing.  Additionally, she has taught English for Specific Purposes such as English for Mass Media, English for Art, and English for Performance.  Her research interests include EFL reading, EFL learning strategies and ESP. 

Since graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from Chachoengsao Teacher’s College, Sumalee Tanawuttikatiworakul has worked at several schools and universities:  Assumption College Sriracha; Phlapphlachaiphitthayakom School; Thungsukhlaphittaya “Krungthaianukrao” School; Chulabhorn Chonburi College; Rajamangala University of Technology, Phra Nakhon; and Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University (RRU).

After 20 years of English teaching experience, she has discovered methods to facilitate classroom study - as well as classroom fun!  She always uses her past research to help understand students and their needs, and to better help them with classroom activities.

Her teaching style embodies a combination of two techniques:  relaxing students to put them at ease, while simultaneously driving them to excel. 

At present, she is the Chairwoman of the English Department at RRU. 

In the future, she plans to conduct additional research on how to improve student attitudes towards studying English. 

Wilasinee Ploylearmsaeng received her Bachelor’s degree from Ramkhamhaeng University in 1989, majoring in English.  She then taught English in a government secondary school at Kamphaengphet for four years.  There, she observed that the English level of students was quite low, and they lacked motivation to learn English and other subjects because they could not see how those subjects would benefit them.  She was thus inspired to go to America, where she earned a Master’s degree (MATESL-Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language) at Saint Michael’s College. There, she took  courses on the teaching of the four skills in English.     

Currently, Wilasinee is an English lecturer at Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, where she has been since 1998, teaching Business English. She teaches two challenging courses: Translation in Business Context 2 (from English to Thai) which is the study and practice of various styles of translation at the paragraph level, the focus being on authentic business texts and articles in various fields, and Independent Studies, a research-based project course.

Kwanhathai Choedchoo has a BA (English) from Bansomdej Rajabhat University, an M.Ed. (TEFL) from Silpakorn University, and a Certificate of English for Academic Purposes from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

She is a lecturer in the English Language Program at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, Bangkok. She has taught English for Specific Purposes, including English for Tourism and Tourist Guides and English for the Hotel and Hospitality Industry. Kwanhathai has been involved in many research projects in countries like USA, Australia and Thailand. She has also contributed to many higher research conference proceedings.   

Currently pursuing a Ph.D (Education), from UNSW, Australia, her research interests include online language learning, E-Language learning, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), Sociocultural theory, ZPD, self-regulation and dynamic assessment, TEFL, teaching listening and speaking strategies and phonics in childhood.

Gunniga Anugkakul is a lecturer in the Department of Humanities at Suan Suanandha Rajabhat University. She has taught Grammar in Contexts, English for Development and Study Skills, English for Business Communication for undergraduate students, and English for Graduate Studies for graduate students.

Gunniga has a PhD in Linguistics from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, an M.Ed (Teaching English) from Srinakarinwirot University, and a BA (Hons) in English from Chiang Mai University, Thailand.

Having taught undergraduate students for 15 years, she underwent TESOL training at University of California at Riverside, USA and English Teaching training at Auckland Language Center, New Zealand.

Her research interests are in language learning strategies, reading strategies and grammar. Her latest publication is a co-authored book entitled English for Development and Study Skills.

Suwaree Yordchim is a lecturer in Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. She obtained her MEd (TEFL) from Silapakorn  University, and her PhD (Linguistics) from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

Currently, she teaches English for Secretaries, Business Communication in English, Grammar in Context, English for Communication and Study Skills and English for Marketing in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Her research interests are in material design, error analysis, e-learning development, and assessment. Her latest publications focus on the use of e-learning in English language teaching and learning, and error analysis of English inflections.

Pranee Pathomchaiwat is currently a lecturer in the Department of Humanities, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat Universty, Bangkok, Thailand. She obtained her BA (English) from Suan Sunandha Teachers’ College and her M.Ed. (Educational Linguistics) from Srinakarintarawirot University Bangkok, Thailand.

She has been teaching English for 33 years (27 years in a high school and 16 years in a university). At present, she teaches Communicative Business Writing, Writing in Everyday life, English for Tourism, English for Mass Media, English for Performance and General English for undergraduate students and she also teaches students across faculties.

She takes pride in translating the Dhamma into English and they were published as books of remembrance for the auspicious celebration of His Majesty the King’s 80th and 84th birthday anniversaries. In addition, she composed some textbooks and they are used as teaching materials.

On the research side, she did some research related to EFL such as learning strategies, error analysis and techniques in teaching English. Her latest publication is Buddhist Monks and Temple Staff’s Language Forms and Functions in Using English for Communication at Wat Phrachetuponwimolmangkararam

Aranya Mudlae (Nina) has a Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed.) in English, Master of Art (MA) in Business English for International Communication and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business. She has been working at Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University as an English lecturer for 8 years. She teaches teach Business English, and English for Study Skill Development to second year students, both major and non-majors of English.

The main problem she has teaching English is students’ attitude toward studying English. Thai students fail to integrate the four communication skills of English because they don't have an opportunity to use English unlike in Singapore or Malaysia where English is used as a second language. This makes learning English in Thailand not successful. Hence, she is planning to investigate the teaching of reading skills of English, specifically the problems students encounter when reading an English text.

Most of all, she would like to devise good strategies for her students in order to  succeed in learning English.

Nit Neingnoi has a B.ED (English major) from Silpakorn University, Nakhon Pathom province. She first worked for Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VRU) as a lecturer for a year before she resigned to continue her studies for a Master’s degree. While she was studying, she worked as a part time lecturer at VRU. When she completed her Master’s degree, (TEFL) from Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok, she returned to work at VRU as a full time lecturer. She has worked there since 2012. Currently, she teaches GE (General Education) programs such as English for Communication, and English for Development and Skills. Reading Skill is the area of research that she is interested in because most of her students are every weak in reading for comprehension, especially the students who major in fields like science or administration.

Paweenai Boonpok is lecturer at Valaya Alongkorn  Rajabhat University (VARU). She graduated from Thammasat University in 2003, majoring in French, with a minor in English. She obtained a Master’s degree in Linguistics in 2007.

She has worked as lecturer since 2008, teaching at Kasetsart University, at the Kampheangsean campus for 3 1/2 years. She was responsible for teaching Introduction to Linguistics, English Phonetics, Linguistics and Its Application and English Foundation I and II. After that, she moved to Mahasarakham Rajabhat University where she taught Introduction to Linguistics, English Phonetics and Business English II. Currently, she is part of the English Program, Faculty of Education at VARU where she continues to teach English Phonetics and English for Study Skills Development.

Her research areas sociolinguistics, teaching Thai to foreigners and developing speaking skill for adult learners.  

Wachiraporn Phadungsilp (June) obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Silpakorn University in 2002 and her Master’s of Arts degree  in Language and Communication from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in 2005. She first worked as an English instructor at Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University (VARU) in 2007. She taught English for Communication, English for Development Skills, and English Grammar. Having been an English instructor at VRU for 5 years makes her realize that VARU students have serious problems with grammar and reading. Hence, she is interested in conducting research in these areas of language learning in order to find solutions to problems her students encounter. Moreover, since she has little experience in the methodology of teaching English, she plans to learn to create interesting lessons to cater to her students’ learning style.

Varangkana Pusiripinyo graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2005, majoring in English. In 2008 she applied for a job at a company which contracts personnel to teach English in schools. Her job was to co-teach with a foreigner teacher. She taught students from kindergarten to secondary school level. Working at this job for almost five years inspired her to keep studying. She then moved on study at the Faculty of Education, Silpakorn University, majoring in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). She embarked on a career as a real teacher in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University. She has worked here for two years.  Her current interest in research is in using storytelling to motivate students to learn English, to develop their ethics and to promote the Thai way of life which the new generation has forgotten about.

Somsiree Manus is currently a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Curriculum and Instruction Program at Surat Thani Rajabhat University. She has taught English for Communication, English for Tourism and English for Specific Purposes in the Institute of Physical Education for 8 years in southern Thailand, Yala Campus. Her research interests focus on reading, English language learning and teaching. She has a Bachelor’s in French from Thammasat University, a diploma in French from the Institute of Touraine, and a Master’s of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Thanksin University in Songkla.

Kingkan Suphornsirisin has a Bachelor’s in English from Prince of Songkla University and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics from the same university.  After she graduated in 2007, she became a teacher at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Surat Thani Rajabhat University (SRU) in 2008.  She teaches students English and communication courses across different faculties. While working at SRU, she took IELTS preparation courses offered by IDP Company and attended various trainings, namely, CULI’S National Seminar in 2011, and SICGE TEFL Train the Trainer On-line Learning and Face-to-Face Workshop in 2012.  She learned a lot about language learning from the trainings and made many good friends from different universities. She is interested in doing research on student motivation, reading, questioning techniques used in reading and listening skills.        

Rattana Jangpiboonpong is a lecturer in the English programme in the Faculty of Education at Suratthani Rajabhat University (SRU).  She has a Bachelor’s in Education in English from Surat Thani Rajabhat University, Surat Thani, Thailand, and a Master’s in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok, Thailand.  She began her experience as an English teacher at Thidamaepra, a Catholic school in Suratthani, where she taugh for 5 years.  Since 2008, she has taken a role as an English Language lecturer in SRU.  She has also developed herself by attending training courses for professional development and while being a trainer in the area of English language teaching and learning. Her current research is focused on the skills of writing and reading for communication.

Pattaraporn  Chantamunee  has a Bachelor’s in Teaching French from Prince of Songkhla University in 1999 also in English from Ramkhamhaeng University in 2005 and a Master’s in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Language Institute, Thammasat University in 2008. She was granted, from French Government, to study at Collège Léonard de Vinci, in Tours, France in 1998. She got a diploma in Tourist Guide Course Number 30 from Chulalongkorn University in 1999 then she worked as an English/a French tourist guide for years  around Thailand.

She has been involved in ELT since 2003, as an English/a French lecturer in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Surat Thani Rajabhat University (SRU), in Southern Thailand. Pattaraporn has developed and taught English for Communication, Phonetics especially Hotel and Tourism that she is keen on for many years. She is also a Language Center’s Committee at SRU where she has done corporate projects and has been a teacher-trainer for hotels and other workplaces staff. Her main interests are curriculum design,  materials development and language teaching. 

Tipsatree  Tipmontree is a lecturer in the English Department at Surat Thani Rajabhat University. Tipsatree has developed and taught English for various disciplines such as business, public relations and mass media, while developing lesson plans & assignments, nurturing student growth, and fostering a fun and active learning environment. In addition, she has adjusted student assessment to accommodate the diverse needs of students transitioning from various feeder schools, and instituted classroom management strategies and disciplinary programs to handle behavior problems. Recently, she was also the secretary of a committee preparing the university for integration into the ASEAN economic community. This committee is responsible for preparing the university to enter ASEAN by enhancing education quality, training teachers, and serving as a model for educational institutions. She has had to ensure the implementation of projects and monitors research, and she manages standard operating procedures. In addition, she is the key person responsible for establishing and implementing a “Malayu” language program.

Tipsatree has a Master’s in English for Business and Technology as well as a Bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
Her professional experience includes 16 years of human resources, research and business consulting, specifically: HR Director and Recruitment Manager for several international companies and MD Executive Assistant for a leading consulting company in South East Asia.

Tipsatree has recently been awarded a scholarship to study her PhD at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece) in philosophy, pedagogy and psychology with the thesis topic “Trafficking and Applied Ethics: Major Moral Issues with Special Regard to Buddhist Ethic.” 

Sommai Chotirat. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in English in 2007. She initially worked as a teacher in a vocational school where she taught many subjects such as English for hotels, businesses and communication. She worked there for a year and then moved to Songkhla Rajabhat University.  After three years of teaching, she completed a Master’s in Teaching English as an International Language. Her students in Songkhla come from local high schools in the five provinces of the south and many have different proficiency levels. She addresses this challenge with dedication and creativity. She is mainly responsible for teaching the fundamental English courses, including English for Communication One and Two, but also teaches Reading for Interpretation, Discourse Approaches in Reading, and English for Seminar and Training.

Patcharawadee Agsornpim graduated with a Bachelor’s in English from Songkhla Rajabhat University in 2003. After graduation in 2006, she worked as an English teacher for a private school in Hat Yai, Songkhla, for 4 months and another six months at Songkhla Rajabhat University as a teacher assistant. In 2008, I studied at Silpakorn University in the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Programme, and she also earned a scholarship for her Master’s Degree. I started my job as an English teacher at Songkhla Rajabhat University in 2011. She currently works as an English instructor at Songkhla Rajabhat University. She was assigned to teach both general education courses and specific courses for English major students. She currently teaches English for Communication 2 and Paragraph Reading Strategies in English.

 Khachorn Thumsri was born in Prachuabkeereekhan, Thailand. When he was 13 years old, I moved to Chiang Mai and finished high school at Bali-Sathit school, Muang district, Chiang Mai province. He used to be a monk when I was 20 years old. He liked my monkhood very much because it gave him a sense of deep inner peace. At that time, he frequently practiced meditation.  He then entered university and graduated with a Bachelor’s in English from Mahachulalongkhornrajavidhayalaya University, Chiang Mai Thailand in 2004. He taught the subject of morality to students in Chiang Mai. After that he worked as a receptionist at Park Hotel for almost two years. Then he decided to continue his studies and finished his Master’s degree in linguistics at Mysore University in India in 2008. At that time, he also trained in spoken English at the Vet Institute in India for two months. In addition, he studied Dravidian linguistics at Mysore University, India. His teaching experiences are as follows:

Miss Jirawan Suttitam has been a lecturer of the English program in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU) since 2005. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in English from PKRU. While she was working as an English lecturer there, she studied for a Master’s Degree in English at Naresuan University, Thailand. She completed it in 2012. She has participated in many seminars and trainings such as “Teaching for the Future,” which was a project of the AUA Language Centre; “Active Learning Strategies that Work: Planning and Teaching Culture-Based Lessons that Motivate Thai Students to Understand, Speak, and Write English” and “Learning Language through Drama” by the PKRU Language Centre. Her fields of teaching for PKRU students are English for Communication, English for Business, English for Teachers and English for Special Purposes. Her research interest focuses on English vocabulary learning strategies.

Miss Ampawan Imaimsup is a lecturer of Meahongson College, Chiangmai Rajabhat University, located in Meahongson province. She has been there for two years after obtaining her MA in TEFL from Srinakarinwirot University, Bangkok. Previously, she was a tutor in primary schools in Chiangmai and Bangkok for three years.

At CRU, she has taught Fundamental Linguistics, Children's literatue, and ESP. Most of her students are English major. She believes in the multiple intelligences theory and hence the importance of adopting an eclectic approach. She is interested in decreasing cross language interferences and enhancing English proficiency of third language learners because most of my students in Meahongson belong to hill tribes.

Aj. Aree Binprathan is a lecturer at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. He received his M.A. from Chiang Mai University. Aj.Aree is responsible for English for Specific Purpose courses, such as English for Tourism, English for Services in Restaurants, Business English, Using Computers in Language Teaching, English for Music Students, English for Thai Studies, and English for Work. He also holds a part-time job as a professional tourist guide, a role which provides him with resources for many of his courses. Aj. Aree was involved in Project-based Learning classroom research in English for Tourism 3, after which he joined the video production team for the Youth Research on Northern History project. His research interest is in ESP and Project-based Learning. He is interested in looking out for new educational software on the Internet, as well as mixing and editing sound, using computer graphic programs. His favorite quote which he uses to guide his life is “Nothing is more than we try”.

Aj. Chalermchai Chaichompoo is a lecturer in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University  teaching mostly linguistics courses for English majors and a few fundamental English courses for non-English majors. He has been in the teaching profession for over twenty years, previously teaching at high school and vocational school before joining Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. His field of specialization is general linguistics and has previously conducted a research study on the phonology of the Palaung ethnic group along the Thai-Burmese border.

A graduate of Chiang Mai University who obtained his graduate degree in Linguistics at Mahidol University, Chalermchai‘s research interest is now inclined toward EFL teaching and learning practices, because he believes that these areas are more practical and applicable to his career. He is keen to see the progress of his students in terms of improved English skills and is committed to the success of English learning and teaching practices in the Thai environment.

Mrs Panachanok Chanwaiwit is a lecturer at Chiangmai Rajabhat University. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in English teaching from the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University, she taught English in secondary school for two years before moving to the US and spending a year there. In 2009, she taught at Payap University, moving to Chiang Mai Rajabhat University two years later. In her teaching experience of more than five years, she has taught fundamental English, reading, and translation, but she enjoys teaching
translation the most. Her research interest is about techniques to help her students translate English to Thai and vice versa effectively. She believes that the basis for good translation is a strong knowledge of grammar but her students are not motivated to learn grammar at all, so she is currently focused on exploring strategies to motivate students for learning grammar.

Ms Worasuda Wattnawong has been a lecturer at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University for 7 years since obtaining both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English from Chiang Mai University. Despite not having a professional degree in Education, Ms Wattnawong has a passion for teaching. She has taught many different courses, especially in speaking and listening, tourism, culture, and fundamental English, but her personal interest is in applied linguistics, communication and tourism. Her current research interest is action research in the classroom that can help to improve her teaching skills and make a more effective teacher. She is also looking forward to pursuing her PhD in communication or applied linguistics abroad.

Ms. Jutharat Jitpranee is an English lecturer who has been teaching at the Faculty of Humanities at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University since June 2008. She graduated with a B.A. in English Studies at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University and M.A. in Applied Linguistics at Mahidol University. As part of her training, she was involved in the National University of Singapore Field Studies research in Chiang Rai. She was a volunteer with CCF (Christian Children Fund), as the English-Thai translator for sponsors who came to visit their sponsored children in Chiang Rai and Phayao Provinces. She also attended Yuxi Normal University in Yunan Province, China for four months for special language training. To date, she has taught various English Language courses including Writing and Reading for Academic Purposes, Introduction to Linguistics, Fundamental Eriting, English for Communication, Cross-Cultural Communication in Business, English for Business, and Literary Adaptation. Her research interests include English Language teaching and student development.

Mr. Worapon Toopmongkol is an English lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University. After obtaining his B.A. in English 6 years ago, he became a teacher of Thai at the Language Institute. He started to teach Thai Language to Chinese students in Yunnan Province, China, as part of a teacher exchange program. There, he did his first classroom research entitled ‘Teaching Methodology of Speaking Thai as a Second Language using Constructivist Theory for Chinese Students’.

He completed his M.A. in English at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University in 2011, in which year he also participated in the International Conference on Regional Stability through Economic, Social and Environmental Development in the Greater Mekong Sub-region and Asia-Pacific, which was jointly organised by Chiang Rai Rajabhat University and Kelaniya University, Sri Lanka. The courses he has taught as a lecturer include English for Engineering II, English for Specific Purposes and English for Communication. His research interest for the future is Linguistic Acquisition Device: Metaphor.

Aj. Autchariya (Kummee) Krautharot or Ying is a lecturer and head of the English Department at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Lampang Rajabhat University. She currently teaches English for Specific Field of Study, English for Academic Purposes, Multimedia in English Classroom, and Thai Cultural Studies. Her research interests are in vocabulary, reading, intercultural communication, and English in tourism, advertising and mass media.

Aj. Autchariya was a cultural exchange student while in high school. She joined a 3-week UCE program at Piopio College, New Zealand and a 1-year AFS Intercultural program at Forest City High School, Iowa, USA. She obtained her B.Sc. in Medical Technology and M.A. in English both from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She used to work as a laboratory technician in a research project on perinatal HIV prevention and a marketing manager at a silver jewelry export company. But since her favorite subject ever is English, she changed her field of study to English Language and has been a university lecturer for almost 4 years now.

Mrs Pranom Wongmoenrat has been teaching as a lecturer at Lampang Rajabhat University since 2005. Prior to this, she was an educational supervisor
working for the Ministry of Education in Bangkok.

Pranom obtained her M.Ed. in Teaching English at Naresuan University, Pitsanulok, Thailand. She is currently in charge of General Education for the course English for Communication. She teaches English Language Learning Assessment and Evaluation, Classroom Management in English Language Teaching, Learning Management, Teaching Practice, English for Local Development and English in Various Situations. She has also trained primary teachers in Lampang, lamphun and Uthai-Thani. Her research interests are in the teaching of speaking and listening and how to make English classes interesting. She recently presented a paper on a project of Youth’s Cooperation to conserve Thai local culture.

Mrs. Neungreutai  Duangdun is a lecturer in the English program, Western Languages Department, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Uttaradit Rajabhat University, Uttaradit, Thailand. She graduated from Naresuan University with Masters in English in 2002 and obtained her Certificate of Education in 2004. During her university days, she worked part-time first as a teaching assistant at the university, and later as an English instructor at Phitsanulok Technical College, Thailand. Her training also includes attending a 6-month intensive English course in 2007, followed by the Graduate Preparation course at the university of North Texas, USA.

In her 10 years at her current university, she has taught English for General Education courses, such as English for Communication, English for Study Skills, ESP, EAP, as well as English major courses such as English for Information Technology, Writing for ESP, Business English, English for Mass Media, English for Public Relations, English Poetry, Formulaic Writing, Introduction to English Grammar, and Preparation for Internship.

Her research interests are motivating students to study English and reach their goals and motivating students to love to read English materials.

Aj. Pittaya  Yamo is a lecturer in the Business English Programme, Uttaradit Rajabhat University. He has a diploma in Business English from Uttaradit Teacher’s College, a B.A. in General Management from Chiang Mai Rajabhat Institute and an M.A. in English from Uttaradit Rajabhat University. In his 8 years at URU, he has taught both General English and ESP courses. These include English for Communication, English for Study Skills, English for Academic Purposes, English for Specific Purposes, English for Tourism, English for Airlines Business and Business English.  Aj. Yamo has attended several workshops for professional development, including the 30th Thailand TESOL International Conference, “ELT in the Next Decade: Sharing, Caring and Daring”.

His research interest is in English communication strategy. A recent research study he worked on is “Effectiveness, Attitudes and Satisfaction of Prathomsuksa 5 Students at Tha-it Municipal School, Uttaradit Province towards the English Camp Activities”.

Prachak Rotarwut is a lecturer at the Foreign Languages Department, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University. He has been teaching English for 23 years.  He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Education majoring in English from Srinakarinwirot University at Mahasarakham. After that he received a Mater of Arts degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Srinakarinwirot at Prasarnmitr, Bangkok. He finally obtained a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. 

The usual courses he always responds as the lecturer are Methods and Approaches in Teaching English, Classroom Management for Language Teachers, Reading for Comprehension, and etc. During his time of teaching, he was granted a scholarship to attend a workshop on Teacher of English at LIOJ, Odowara, Japan. He also received a scholarship to participate in a workshop on Active Learning and Teaching at Montana State University, USA. And He had a scholarship to attend the workshop on Teaching English for Business and Technology at RELC, Singapore. 

Besides from teaching, he conducted several researches related to his teaching career which are as follows: Effects of Active Learning Method towards Third Year Student Teachers’ Achievement and Satisfaction in Teaching English for Primary Students, Developing of Autonomous Learners through Project Work, Developing a Program of English Proficiency, Communicative Language Teaching and Reflective Teaching for Pre-Service Teachers in Thailand, and Good Practice in Internal Quality Assurance of Faculty of Humanities and Social Science at Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University.

Rapeeporn Sroinam is an assistant professor at Udon Thani Rajabhat University. She possesses graduate degrees from Sri Nakharinwirot University (B.Ed. in English and M.Ed. in Ed. Linguistics) and Edith Cowan University, Australia (Ph.D. in Education-TESOL).  She received a certificate in Effective Teaching from the State University of New York, Oneonta and a Graduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Study from Edith Cowan University, Australia. She has taught English courses, linguistics and language methodology for both undergraduate and graduate students for 18 years. She is interested in conducting research on reading comprehension, language teaching and linguistics.     

Napasup Lerdpreedakorn is a Senior Lecturer in the TESOL program at Udon Thani Rajabhat University and serves as the Head of Business English Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Udon Thani Rajabhat University. She possesses graduate degrees from Sri Nakharinwirot University, Prasanmitr, Bangkok (B. Ed. and M. Ed. in English) and The University of Melbourne, Australia.(D.Ed. in TESOL).  She received a certificate in Teaching Grammar for Communication from RELC, Singapore and a Graduate Diploma in Language Studies from Edith Cowan University, Australia. Prior to her current employment, she taught English in secondary schools for 15 years.

She teaches business writing, creative writing and reading to undergraduate students, and academic writing, linguistics and reading to graduate students. Her research interests include teaching methodology, writing and speaking.  

Prayong Klanrit is an Associate professor at Udon Thani Rajabhat University, where she has been teaching for the past 40 years. At the same time, she is also a senior lecturer in the TESOL program. She obtained her B.Ed. in English and M.Ed. from Chulalongkorn University and her PhD in TESOL from the University of Melbourne. She has published many English textbooks for Thai learners of English. Her research interests include English teaching methodology, language testing, and English teacher training.

Thiwaporn Thawarom is a lecturer in the English Department at Sisaket Rajabhat University. Prior to her current position, she was a bilingual teacher in the English Programme, Satree Siriket, Thailand, where she taught English, science and mathematics for Matthayom 1-9 (or Grade 7-9).

She has a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in English and Communication.

Her research interests include the integrated learning of content subjects and language

Kanthima Saengsai is currently an English teacher at Sisaket Rajabhat University, Sisaket. She has been teaching at this University since mid 2012. Prior to her current position as an English teacher at Sisaket Rajabhat University, she taught English in a high school for 10 years and subsequently served as a supervisor of Ubon Ratchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office 5 for about two years. She received her M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Ubon Ratchathani University. She is interested in conducting all kinds of classroom research.

Maneenoot Chaweewong is currently a lecturer of the Language Centre at the Roi Et Rajabhat University, Thailand. She is also the Deputy Director of the Center. She has a BA in English from Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok, Thailand and an MA in English from Mahasarakham University, Mahasarakham, Thailand.

She has been teaching at Roi Et Rajabhat University for three years. Her teaching areas include both general education courses (e.g. English for Communication, English for Study Skills) and compulsory courses (e.g. English for Tourism, Reading, Business English). Her research interests include English for communication, reading, classroom motivation and classroom management. She has recently received a research grant from Roi Et Rajabhat University for an action research project.

Dueanpen Rakpaet is currently a lecturer in the Department of Humanities and Science at Roi Et Rajabhat University. She assumed her current position in 2001 and has been teaching many different courses for both English Education Major and Business English Major students. These courses include English Phonetics and Phonology, English Syntax and Semantics, and Applied Linguistics. Besides English Majors, she also conducts teacher training courses for students majoring in other education subjects. Dueanpen has an MA and a PhD. in Linguistics from Mahidol University, Thailand.

Administratively, Dueanpen has served as Head of the Language Center at Roi Et Rajabhat University since 2011 and as Head of the University’s International Relations Section since 2012. She has been instrumental in the development of the EPT system, intensive English, basic Chinese, and Vietnamese courses for students in the University. In addition, she has also designed many activities for language development and have provided many opportunities for language and cultural exchanges for Roi Et students. Her research interests include English pronunciation teaching and learning, and Applied Linguistics.

Saowarot Ruangpaisan is currently a lecturer in the English Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Buriram Rajabhat University (BRU). She received her M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Silapakorn University and her doctoral degree in English as an International Language from Chulalongkorn University. She has been teaching EFL at BRU for fourteen years. Besides EFL, she also teaches courses on research methodology and English teaching methodology to Master’s students in the School of Graduate Studies. Her research interests include language testing, material development, English grammar, and listening strategies. She strongly believes that conducting action research provides a means of sustainable development for both lecturers and learners.

Surachai Piyanukool is a professor at Buriram Rajabhat University. He has a Bachelor of Education in English, Master of Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and Doctor of Philosophy in Reading. Prior to his current employment, he taught English in a secondary school for 18 years. His main research interest is to seek for effective teaching strategies to enhance students’ English competence. He has participated and/or presented papers in numerous conferences and workshops, including Thai TESOL, Chulalongkorn University workshops, and the Ministry of Education workshops.

Auemporn Rungsiri is an English teacher in Business English Department at Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University (RBRU). Since teaching at RBRU in 2010, she has taught Communicative English, English for Secretaries, English for Tourism, and English for Hotels. Currently, she teaches Communicative English (GE) in various faculties. She loves to encourage her students to use English and motivate them to learn English in their daily lives. She creates comfortable classes, but puts a bit challenge for her students.  Before teaching at RBRU, she taught children as a private tutor.  Since then, she has been teaching students of various ages, ranging from young children to working adults.

She obtained her BA in English Language from UTCC in Thailand and her MBA from Woodbury University in the US.

Auemporn's research interests include classroom management, motivation and attitude toward English as a second language, and Teaching English for Specific Purposes.

Proyfon Wongchaochan is a lecturer at Rambhai Burni Rajabhat University (RBRU) in Chanthburi. She has eight years of English teaching experience. She is currently instructuing two subjects at RBRU: Forms and Usage in Modern English I and General English. In addition to teaching duties, she also has been a committee member in the Education Quality Assurance Board of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Furthermore, she has done an action research on a grammar teaching technique.

Proyfon received a Bachelor’s degree for English Education at Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, Thailand in 2003, and a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand in 2012. Her reseach interests include English Language Teaching Methodology and the Teaching of English grammar.

Opas Horasit spent fifteen years as a Buddhist monk before becoming an English instructor in Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University ten years ago. Since then, he has taught English to a range of students from year 1 to year 5 as well as Buddhism to grade 7 to grade 12 English Program students in Ratchaborikanukroh School, Ratchaburi Province. At present, he is serving as the head of Business English Program in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and pursuing a PhD in the field of Curriculum and Instruction in English at Silpakorn Unviersity. His obtained a Master's degree in Linguistics from Nagpur University, India in 2001, a Bachelor's degree in English from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Thailand in 1999, and Pali Language Level 5 from Wat Yannawa, Bangkok in 1995. His research interests include curriculum and instruction in English Language as well as morality and ethics.

Intira Kueasanoh is currently a lecturer at Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University (MCRU). She has ten years of secondary school teaching experience and ten months at university level. She teaches Paragraph Reading Strategies and Fundamental English for Teachers at MCRU. She has obtained her Master’s degree in English from Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University in Thailand. She was a consultant of grade 1 English majors. She has had experience conducting some action research on a comparison of the two languages, in the area of listening to speakers, as a Research Assistant interested in to a child's learning with Thai teachers and foreign teachers.

Pichet Satwinit is a lecturer at Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University (MCRU) in Business English Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He is currently teaching two courses at MCRU: English for Communication and English for Study Skills. From September 2009 to August 2012, Pichet taught Mattayom 4-6 students English at Daruna Ratchaburi School. Pichet received a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religion at Seangtham College, Thailand in 2005, and a Master’s degree in English for Careers at Thammasat University, Thailand in 2009. He is interested in finding the effective ways for kindergarten students to learn and love English, and finding the good ways to teach English to adults.

Nopthira Jawa-ut is currently a lecturer in Business English Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University (MCRU).

She started her teaching career as a lecturer at Phuket Rajabhat University in 2009. There, she was assigned teaching English for Communication and English for Study Skills for undergraduates. Since joining MCRU in 2010, she has been teaching the same undergraduate courses, but also English major courses such as Business English and Writing English for Business Deals.

Her research experience includes the conducting of action research on curriculum development and vocabulary development exercises. Her research interests lie in vocabulary learning to enlarge the learners’ vocabulary, as well as teaching techniques in speaking to enable Thai students to gain sufficient competence to communicate with speakers from other countries.

Nopthira graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with first-class honors from Naresuan University and obtained her Master’s degree in TEFL from Silpakorn University in Thailand.

Jirayu Meebuth graduated from Kanchanaburi  Rajabhat University (KRU) with a Bachelor’s degree in 2001 and Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Silpakorn University in 2005. Since returning to KRU, Jirayu has been teaching English and other courses, including Curriculum Analysis, Teaching Methodology, and Teaching English for Mathematics Teachers. She is also Head of English Program of in the Faculty of Education at KRU.

Phongsak Raksphet is an Assistant Professor in the English Program at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University. He teaches many courses in English, but mainly in Linguistics. He has been invited as a key speaker nationwide to give lectures in Linguistics and English teaching methodologies. He is also responsible for grading elementary and high school teachers’ academic papers, the results of which could be used for promotion to a higher level with a higher salary. In 1977, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Education. In 1980-1988, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and an Indiana university grant to work on a Master’s degree and a PhD in Linguistics at Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. He is fun to be with and enjoys talking to people. 

Wilinwan Saengphuang has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University (KRU) since 2008. She has taught a number of English courses at KRU, including English for communication, English for study skills, English for hotels 1, Business English 1, and Business English 2. She is also a coordinator for English for study skills. Besides teaching at the university, she is also a part of team organizing students’ English camps, and teaching English conversation for staff in hospitals, government officials, restaurant staff and other staff in the tourism industry, such as the tourist police and hotel staff in Kanchanaburi.

Wilinwan received a Bachelor’s degree in General English from Chankasem Rajabhat University, and a Master’s degree in Language and Communication from the Faculty of Language and Communication, The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in Bangkok. She visited James Cook University in Singapore for field trip in 2012. She has attended the Thai TESOL seminar in Bangkok, the NRRU International Conference on ELT Research Findings “Inspiration for Enhancing Effective EFL Learning and Teaching”, the “Meaningful, Motivating, Memorable :The 3 M’s of a perfect lesson” workshop, and a seminar on phonetics at Mahidol University, Bangkok. Her research interests include English for communication, classroom management and English learning and teaching problems.

Kansinee Chuaypenchaipat is a lecturer at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University (KRU) in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. She has almost five years of English teaching experience, three for primary school and two for university level. Before teaching at KRU, Kansinee taught at Patai Udom Suksa School in the English Gifted Program for three years. Recently, she has taught English courses to freshmen and second and third year English major students, including General English, Business English, Reading for Text Interpretation, and Practical Phonetics.

Kansinee received a Bachelor of Arts in English at Naresuan University, Phitsanulok Province, Thailand in 2003 and a Master of Education in Educational Linguistics at Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok in 2011. Her research interests include educational linguistics, syntax, phonetics and the teaching of vocabulary and reading.

Duangduen Jangpanich is a teacher and head of Business English Department at Kanchanburi Rajabhat University (KRU). In her thirteen years of teaching at KRU, she has taught varied English courses, including reading, English for tourism, English for business and General English.

She received a Bed for Teaching English from Silpakorn University in Nakornpathom, Thailand in 1990, and a MEd in Teaching as a Foreign Language from Silpakorn University in 2000. Her research interests include the teaching of ESP, English testing and the problems  related to  English studies  for Thai students.

She has attended many seminars and workshops on teaching methodology, such as Thai TESOL conference and other conferences by Thai universities  in collaboration with overseas universities. In 2007, she visited a Hong Kong university to explore how they deal with GE curriculum. Aside from teaching, she is a part of a team organizing English camps for students in primary and secondary schools, and a key speaker for the tourism industry in Kanchanburi.

Putsadee Pathumarak is a senior lecturer in the English Department at the Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University (NPRU). She teaches courses such as English for Communication, Grammar for Communication I & II, English for Career I & II, Business English I & II, English in the Classroom, Classroom Management, Methods and Approaches in Teaching English and Trial Teaching. Apart from teaching, Putsadee serves as a Vice Dean of Affairs, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Recently, she was in charge of organizing a professional training for elementary teachers from schools around NPRU. She obtained an MA (Teaching English) from Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok. In addition, she holds a graduate Diploma in English for Careers, Graduate Diploma in Thai and English Translation and Certificate in Tourist Guides from Thammasat University, Bangkok. She was a visiting scholar at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) for two months. Her research interests include student motivation and materials.
