Title of Discussion: Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving in the Diverse Workplace

Objective

This dialogue session is the first part of a series of sessions between CELC and IBM Singapore concerning different aspects of professional communication in the workplace. The purpose of each session is to exchange views, practices and research related to workplace communication.

Date and Venue

The first session on Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving in the Diverse Workplace was held on 11 November 2011, from 2.30-4pm in IBM Singapore, Old Tampines Road.

Discussion Focus

Happy Goh and Ruanni Tupas presented issues concerning the role of diversity in the workplace, specifically its impact on leadership and on solving work-related problems. The session was attended by senior managers of IBM from different departments of the company. KC Lee, CELC Deputy Director and who is at the helm of this groundbreaking series, participated in the lively dialogue after the presentation.
