CG1413 - Effective Team Communication

This module aims to prepare students for the CDIO (Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate) approach, which is an innovative educational model for computer engineers. It centres on team-based, hands-on projects. Students will learn personal, interpersonal and intercultural communication skills emphasizing teamwork and team dynamics. These skills, such as resolving conflicts and negotiating agreements, are transferable and applicable to other modules for their degree programme. Assessment is via oral and written communication evaluation tools such as peer-teaching, critical reflections, critiques, and presentations.

This module is only offered in Semester 2 of each academic year and is usually twinned with another computing module.

It is a 48 hour module taught over 12 weeks with 2 two-hour tutorials per week.
