The course helps students to generate and organize ideas for clear, convincing and effective oral and written messages and to present these ideas with linguistic and graphic competence appropriate to their audience, context and purpose in various social settings, but most especially, in the workplace. Thus, you will:
- learn about communication principles and elements of effective writing that can impact the way you communicate;
- spend time in and outside class to practice what you have learned through problem solving, doing case studies, interacting with classmates and implementing a variety of projects;
- create a blog as an e-portfolio and make posts on it related to content topics and then read classmates' posts and add comments;
- participate in a research project in which you conduct survey-based research and present a formal proposal (via a class wiki);
- submit proof of your learning (individual and group assignments) to your lecturer for grading;
- interact and conference with your lecturer to enhance your learning.
