CELC Symposium 2013

The Centre for English Language Communication (CELC) is now inviting colleagues from the world over to participate in its fourth international symposium for English language teachers. Scheduled for 27-29 May, 2013, this symposium combines classroom-based research paper presentations, workshops, demonstrations, poster sessions, and colloquia to give presenters and participants an enriching professional experience.

English Academic Writing Project In Laos

The Centre for English Language Communication (CELC) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Temasek Foundation (TF) are pleased to announce the launch of a project to review and enhance current teaching methodologies for English academic writing in teacher training colleges in the Lao People's Democratic Republic (PDR).

Preparing for Successful Oral Presentations

This pilot e-module, "Preparing for Successful Oral Presentations", is the first of a 4-part series, developed by CDTL in collaboration with CELC and is aimed at providing a self-assessed e-learning module for students to learn useful techniques and strategies in Oral Presentations.

Ideas and Exposition

NUS has pioneered an innovative model of learning and teaching which is integrated into the new University Town's residential colleges. The U-Town curriculum includes a writing program, called the Ideas and Exposition Program (IEP). IEM The modules are content specific and taught in a small group environment.
