The very first exclusive forum organised by Channel NewsAsia, Centre for English Language Communication and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences for FAS1102 students is finally here!
This critical thinking and communication module provides an opportunity for students to explore community leadership within an interdisciplinary environment.
With the increasing reach and impact of social media, the ability to communicate visually and in writing has grown. Micro-blogging sites such as Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and Facebook often contain pictures, videos or short messages, but many of these posts still point interested readers back to web pages with more substantial write-ups.
Discover what makes your writing confusing for your readers. Find out common mistakes in the use of "however", "therefore", "not only... but also". Learn how to place commas and semi-colons correctly in your sentences. All these and more, presented in attractive, short, bite-sized videos that are great for busy people. Learn while commuting to/from work/school, while waiting at the bus-stop, and even while waiting in line at the food court!
The Writing and Communication Hub (WCH) is a place where NUS students can get help with their writing, oral presentations, and conversation skills.
