Resource Planning Analyst Office of Resource Planning

The successful candidate will be in charge of:
  1. All Funds Budget (AFB) - extraction and analysis of financial data; liaising with Faculties/Admin Depts and particularly Office of Financial Services to ensure that the statements are reasonably accurate; cross-walk of the AFB statements to audited financial statements.
     
  2. Operating and Strategic Budgets, University Reserves - assist in review of these funds, monitoring utilisation and all other aspects.


Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, analyse and review each fund group in the AFB statement for each Faculty and Admin Dept.
  2. Check and reconcile figures in the AFB statement with the SAP financial system and the audited financial statements.
  3. Work with counterparts in the Faculty/Admin Dept to achieve mutual understanding of the statements; and handle all queries/clarifications relating to AFB.
  4. Be familiar with existing systems and software used in preparing the AFB statements.
  5. Assist the Associate Director in the review and monitoring of the Operating and Strategic Budgets and University Reserves.  This is expected to be a long-drawn process.
     

Requirements:

  1. A recognised degree in Accountancy with a minor in Economics/Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics.  Applicants with a degree in other disciplines can be considered if they have adequate and relevant working experience in SAP financial systems and accounting, and are highly numerate.
  2. Those with at least 2 years of relevant working experience and are familiar with SAP financial, project and fund management system would have an advantage.
  3. Good analytical, writing, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with a high degree of stress tolerance.
  4. Meticulous, resourceful and innovative, with a positive work attitude and responsive and adaptive to changes.
  5. An independent worker but also a good team player.
