Your role as a manager is to serve as liaison between potential employers and students. You have to reach out to employers, establish and cultivate relationships to facilitate their talent attraction programme. At the same time, you serve as a career coach advising students on career options and job search strategies. You create opportunities for both employers and students to interact through career workshops, industry talks, recruitment presentations and networking events. This is a demanding, high energy, client facing role. Ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with people and be skilled at managing multiple priorities.
Business Development and Corporate Relations: Build and broaden corporate relationships, foster employer engagement and facilitate recruitment of NUS BBA graduates in assigned industry sectors. Increase partnership and placement opportunities through continuous and targeted engagement and development of creative platforms and cooperation. This includes the organisation of recruitment presentations, industry specific workshops and networking sessions. Career Guidance: Provide career counselling to help students explore careers that match their interest, values and skills. Guidance given includes CV critique, mock interview coaching and formulating job search strategies. Development and Career Management: Contribute to developing and delivering comprehensive, timely and relevant career-skills education to NUS BBA students, through managing our modular Personal Development and Career Management Programme.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the day-to-day admin operations of the office, as well as overseeing the logistical management for training and development workshops, recruitment presentations and briefing sessions for our business undergraduates. Our corporate partners are mainly campus recruiters, HR directors or executives in Blue Chip or Fortune 500 companies, as well as workshop trainers. | Manager, Business Development / Management Practicums | NUS Business School |
As Manager, Business Development / Management Practicums, you will be responsible for driving Management Practicum & Independent Study module initiatives, with deliverables to secure & facilitate at least 60 Management Practicums for the NUS MBA program annually. Business Development You will establish corporate contacts through a systematic outreach process, positioning and securing Management Practicums for the NUS MBA candidates. You will need to help scope the Management Practicum project with the company, determining a range of feasible case topics & establishing an understanding of the objectives, guidelines for workload, deliverables, resources and financial support. Student Development You will collate a list of Management Practicums for dissemination to NUS MBA students, help in the allocation & enrollment of projects, and conduct semestral briefings. You will provide curriculum and academic matters support with respect to the Management Practicum module & match faculty supervisors to student groups. You will mediate between student teams and companies to ensure that the management practicums are progressing well and completed in time. Administration You will develop, implement and update systematic procedures and processes (SOPs) for the Management Practicum & Independent Study module. You will conceptualize promotional materials to aid in pitching our various initiatives to the corporates such as brochures and e-blasts. You will liaise with Office of Legal Affairs on the necessary documentation and administer guidelines for students, faculty advisors and corporates. You will ensure updated information on the Students Portal, Handbook and Website on the Management Practicum / Independent Study module.
