He holds a First Class (Honours) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya and a Masters degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree with distinction from McGill University under the Canadian Commonwealth Fellowship.
