The year in review was a milestone one for NUS, marked by acknowledgement from
its international peers that it is a major league player. The strongest endorsement
came from the Times Higher Education Supplement World University Rankings. The
results of this survey are culled from the nominations of academics in 88 countries
who were asked to identify the best universities in their fields of expertise. Their
votes clearly spell the high regard with which the University is held for overall and
discipline-specific excellence.
