Event Details

This talk will deep dive into the challenges faced in driving business transformation using IT. Through ups and downs, Dr Jenson Goh (Computing '97) has discovered that the secret of effective business transformation lies not just in the combination of knowledge and skills acquired in class and through practice. More importantly, it hinges on one's mental model of what defines a meaningful and purposeful IT career. Join Dr Goh as he shares how he has found his calling through the practice of systems thinking and volunteerism.

Dr Jenson is the Chief Information and Learning Officer of Monde Nissin Group, a multi-national and #1 instant noodle and biscuit company based in the Philippines, that also operates in Thailand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. It is also a world market leader in meat-free protein food products.

Dr Jenson is currently responsible in leading and overseeing the global IT initiatives to drive the group towards a learning organisation. He had also previously led the sustainability initiatives in the company. Prior to becoming part of senior management, Dr. Jenson had more 16 years of experience in strategising IT use as a Chief Enterprise Architect, and was also the Director of Studies, Residential College 4 in NUS from 2016 to 2019. He received his PhD in Information Systems, Master’s in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree from NUS in 2012, 2001 and 1997 respectively.
