12 March (Tue): Manikarnika : The Queen of Jhansi (NC16) | 148 min | Hindi

The film captures the life of the 22-year-old Queen of Jhansi who refused to cede Jhansi to the British Empire. She was the first woman in the history of India to fight against the British in the cry of Independence. Despite fighting a fierce battle, she was killed in combat. Her life story and fight against the British is now told in this formidable tale of bravery, valour and women’s strength to inspire generations to come.


13 March (Wed): Naal (PG) | 117 min | Marathi

Naal is the story of Chaitanya, an eight-year-old mischievous boy. Living in a remote village in Maharashtra, along the banks of a river, he is fathered by a small-time landlord and pampered by a loving and caring mother. Naal portrays Chaitanya’s emotional world and follows him on an unexpected journey.


14 March (Thu): Raazi (PG) | 138 min | Hindi

Raazi is based on a true story of a young girl, who was sent to Pakistan in 1971, to source out any information she could, as war was becoming imminent between India and Pakistan. It is the journey of an ordinary Indian girl, in extraordinary circumstances.

  • All mobile devices must be on silent mode or switched off.
  • This is a free-seating event. Tickets will be issued at the door on a first-come-first-served basis. Once the Auditorium is filled, you will be given tickets to the alternative screening rooms.
  • Once the movie starts, admission into the Auditorium will be at the Level 3 entrance.
  • Photography and videography by the NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) may be carried out throughout the event. OAR and the High Commission of India in Singapore may use some or all of these images in their print publications, digital platforms and marketing channels.
