The inaugural NUS DOS was held on 3 September 2016, and it was a day of significance for the University as the entire NUS community came together to give back to society. Since its launch, DOS has garnered more support from alumni, students and staff. The fourth DOS in 2019 saw more than 2,000 NUS students, alumni and staff participating in 53 community-initiated projects ranging from animal welfare and the environment, to children and the elderly. You can also read about the activities in NUS News and The AlumNUS, or view more photos on Facebook.
This year, COVID-19 has amplified many pressing needs in our communities. In these unprecedented times, we need to rise above our fears and take action to make the world a better place.
For DOS2020, let’s reflect on how we can each make a difference and lend a helping hand to those in need.
