The Faculty of Dentistry is located
within the National University Hospital (NUH) which is the main
teaching hospital in Singapore.
The Faculty occupies 3 storeys in
NUH providing a flexible and conducive environment for teaching,
research and practise of dentistry. All three floors of the Faculty,
comprising modern state-of-the-art dental chairs and equipment,
are used for undergraduate and postgraduate clinical instruction.
Students carry out laboratory work in a well equipped laboratory,
each having a dedicated laboratory space.
Students can access a vast amount
of information through online resources such as the Medline CD-ROM
databases and the Internet from a cluster of modern personal workstations
in the Hospital. Dental and medical books, and many major current
periodicals are available from the University's Medical Library,
which is a stone's throw away from the Hospital.
A modern Dental Centre with 12 fully-equipped
operatories, located on the ground floor of the Faculty, provides
general and specialist multi-disciplinary dental care for the public
and hospital patients.
