Oral Pathology

The Oral Pathology diagnostic services are provided to Dentists and Dental Specialists both in NUH and in Private Practice by the Histopathology Laboratory of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The Histopathology Laboratory gives essential support for the definitive diagnosis of various oral maxillofacial lesions. It processes annually about 250 biopsies including smears for histological reports. The technical support for this unit is provided by two technicians employed by NUS i.e. Mrs Maria Quan and Miss Han Tok Lin. The Oral Pathologist in charge is also available for consultation/opinion on histological cases
