Teaching Appointment Applications are invited for a faculty appointment in the Faculty of Dentistry. Candidates should, in addition to an approved basic degree, possess a PhD or its quivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with academic and research experience in the following areas:
Dental Biomaterials The Faculty of Dentistry is well established with a history dating back to 1929. Today it ranks among the best-equipped and most modern dental schools in the Asia-Pacific. Housed in a prime area, the Faculty is located in the National University Hospital. With an enrolment of 136 undergraduates, the Faculty is the smallest and one of the most closely-knit on campus. The Faculty comprises of 3 departments, namely Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Preventive Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. In addition to teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students, staff members are expected to participate actively in research. The staff is expected to lead and eventually excel in an area of research. There will also be collaborative research with members of the Faculty. Currently, the major research focus of the Faculty includes Development in Biomaterials, Calfied and Connective Tissues and Oral Health Sciences.
