The Hall, inspired by the grand concert halls of Europe, provides a grand setting for concerts and theatrical presentations as well as the formal ceremonies of the University.

The Hall comprises a total of 1,700 seats in three raked tiers, which provide a degree of intimacy unusual in a hall of this size. Despite the large capacity, no seat is further than 40 metres from the stage, facilitating an all-embracing relationship between audiences and the performers.

Special Rooms
• Theatre Green room capable of holding 40 persons
• One VIP function rooms for small private receptions. Suite 1 has lounge seating for 12 persons.
• Professional dance studio with sprung floor and mirrored bars

Rehearsal Rooms
The dance studio may be used as a rehearsal space for non-invasive rehearsals. It is 26 metres by 15 metres suitable for full Hall stage rehearsals. Access is limited by the stairways, and is located on the far side of the complex. It is unsuitable for scenery or large properties.

Crews
We supply three qualified operations technicians in the areas of lighting, sound and flying / staging. This can be augmented from our permanent staff or with casual staff.

Handicapped Access
• Handicap access is limited to stalls level without the use of the lift
• All levels have handicap toilet facilities

Policies
• Venue office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm
• Normal venue usage 9am to 11pm
• Alcohol is permitted at the management's discretion
• Food & drink only permitted in foyers and back stage meals rooms
• NUS is a non smoking campus. Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings

Load-in
• Direct stage loading access through the scenery store
• Loading dock is one metre height
• 3 trucks can be accommodated, but it will only allow for a 1.5 metre access along the dock
• Note the external door is limited to 3 metres in height and 2.4 wide
