Bursaries

NUS encourage our students to embark on overseas experiential learning. We recognise that some students may need financial assistance to participate in overseas programmes. Listed below are bursaries available for needy NUS Singaporean students to apply.

Bursaries Application Information

Loh Boon Chye & Family SEP Awards

The award was created through a generous donation from Mr Loh Boon Chye, an NUS alumnus. The award will support financially-needy students for Student Exchange Programme (SEP) to the United Kingdom, the United States of America and China. Up to 3 awards are available each year.

Please apply from 1 February to 31 March.

NUS Awards for Study Abroad – NASA Degree Bursary

The NASA Degree Bursaries are available on a need basis to students who are on selected Joint, Double or Concurrent Degree Programmes with overseas universities.

Please approach your Faculty/School administering your specific Joint, Double or Concurrent Degree Programme.

NUS Awards for Study Abroad – NASA Enhancement Bursary

The NASA Enhancement Bursaries are available on a need basis to undergraduate students who are on short term and special overseas programmes administered by IRO such as international summer programmes (i-SP), international research attachment programmes (i-RAP), field studies, etc.

Please apply concurrently with the programme application.

NUS Awards for Study Abroad – NASA Exchange Bursary

The NASA Exchange Bursaries are available on a need basis to undergraduate students who are on overseas Student Exchange Programme (SEP).

Please apply at https://myisis.nus.edu.sg upon the acceptance of the exchange programme.

NUS International Internship Award (Bursary)

The NUS International Internship Awards (Bursaries) are available on need basis to undergraduate students who are on NUS-approved internships, including IRO-administered internships, self-sourced internships and Faculty-administered internships (except NUS Overseas Colleges & NUSRI-NUS Engineering Internship Programme).

Please apply 2 months before programme start date for Semester 1 & 2.

Please apply before programme start date for Special Term 1 & 2 as follows:
1st round - by 1 May
2nd round - by 1 June
3rd round - by 1 July

SEP Award for the Community Spirited

The award was created through a generous donation from Mr Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara from Temasek International. The award encourages students who have demonstrated a desire to give back to the society through consistent and active community involvement to embark on a Student Exchange Programme. 8 awards valued at S$6,000 each are available each year.

Please apply from 1 February to 31 March.
