Professor Eleanor Wong is a graduate of the NUS Faculty of Law, and she joined NUS in 2002 as Director of the Legal Writing Programme. She started her career with the Commercial Affairs Department prosecuting fraud cases, then went on to obtain a Masters degree in Corporate Law from New York University in 1990, and practiced law in New York. Professor Wong returned to Singapore in 1992, where she focused on corporate law in regional banking and finance companies. In 2000, she joined leading local TV production company, The Right Angle. With her razor sharp wit, she was well-suited to provide communications consultancy and training for senior executives. It was of course not long before she too was given executive portfolios, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategist.

With her eagle eye for ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ doing, Professor Wong continues to ‘speak her truth’, through her diverse interests in law, culture and entertainment. She is not only a published playwright and TV host but also a member of the Remaking Singapore Committee.
