You would have been informed of your housing eligibility in your terms of appointment with NUS. To apply for University housing, please submit your request through the Human Resource Officer of the department/faculty that you are employed under in NUS.
Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months and that you have a valid Employment Pass and Singapore visa, where required.

You would have been informed of the relocation allowance that you are eligible for and the terms for reimbursement. You are advised to arrange the shipment of your personal effects such that they arrive in Singapore after you do as there may be customs formalities that you have to attend to personally, and to avoid incurring storage charges, for which the University is not liable. We also suggest that you arrange with your shipping agent to assist in customs clearance and delivery of your goods on arrival in Singapore.
If you are moving to either Kent Vale or Pandan Valley, please remember to apply for permission for your movers to enter the estate. More information can be found under the respective properties' website.
If you are collecting the keys during office hours, please bring along a copy of your allocation/viewing letter to Kent Vale Maintenance Office. Kent Vale Maintenance Office is located at Geranium Block, 101 Clementi Road.
If you are collecting the keys after office hours, please bring along a copy of the allocation/viewing letter and proceed to Kent Vale Security Post. It is located at Kent Vale Estate (after Geranium Block).
To get to Kent Vale, you can take the Internal Shuttle Bus service or public buses nos. 33, 183 or 188.

After you have completed this form, simply go to the top of the page and click “Save and Close”. The form will be automatically submitted to OHS. |

| 7 | Workmen carrying out deliveries/removals should use only designated lifts and staircases so as not to inconvenience Residents. Packing and crating materials must be disposed of and removed from the Estate by the faculty member on the same day that they are brought in. |
| 8 | Unwanted materials, debris, etc., should not be left in the corridors, lift lobbies, fire escape staircases or any other common areas in the building. Otherwise, they will be removed and the cost of removal will be charged to the faculty member concerned. |
| 9 | Faculty members are not allowed to tap water/electricity supply from the common areas. |
| 10 | Faculty members shall be responsible for the conduct and behavior of their appointed contractors. |
| 11 | If any area of the common property, building or equipment is damaged by the faculty member or the contractor in the process of moving/ delivery, the deposit will be forfeited and if the cost of repairs/ replacement is more than the deposit, the faculty member will be liable to pay the difference. |
You would already have water, electricity and supplies in your apartment when you move in.
If you are staying in a partially-furnished apartment, please transfer the utilities account to your name, so that the bills will be sent to you. To do so, please approach our staff at the Kent Vale Management Office.

Local telephone calls are charged on a time-based scheme. International Direct Dialling (IDD) is available to more than 200 destinations in the world. There are International Calling Cards or a Pre-paid Calling Cards which allows you the convenience of making IDD calls from almost any phone at discounted rates.

Vacating residents are required to return the apartment to its original condition, reasonable wear and use excepted. Please note that damages and cleaning charges will be assessed based on failure to do the following:-

OHS will not be able to hold mail for you. Also, it is not possible for us to allow you to have any further access to the mailbox once you are no longer a tenant at that address. Therefore, please be sure to file a change of address notice well in advance of your move-out.

Do contact the Kent Vale Management Office at tel. no. 67750669 at least a week before you move out to arrange for an inventory check. This inventory check should be conducted during office hours a day before your actual move-out date.
If you are staying at Kent Vale, the original back gate key(s) and car transponder(s) (when applicable) are to be returned to the Kent Vale Management Office on your move-out date.
If you are staying at Pandan Valley, please return the residents' card(s), car park label(s) and side gate key(s) to the Pandan Valley Management Office on your move-out date.
A penalty fee of S$150.00 for each lost/non-returned back gate key and S$40.00 for each lost/non-returned transponder will be charged to the faculty member.
If your keys to the apartment are not returned/lost/not original keys, the apartment door locks will be changed and all replacement charges will be charged to the faculty member.
Occupancy fees will cease only when all keys have been returned to OHS.
