What is the University Innovation Fund?


Under the National Framework for Innovation and Enterprise (NFIE), an Innovation Fund was established in each university in Singapore to supplement the universities’ internal funding for innovation and entrepreneurship activities.

How much was NUS awarded under the University Innovation Fund?


In May 2009, NUS was awarded $9 million over five years under the first tranche of the University Innovation Fund (UIF), to support approved activities relating to innovation and enterprise.

What is the Faculty Working Committee?


The Faculty Working Committee was formed to oversee and implement several of the NRF UIF supported programmes. The committee comprises representatives from six faculties in NUS.

How can I apply for funding/assistance under the UIF?


There are various programmes and initiatives under the UIF to support entrepreneurial education, develop platforms for start-up formation, catalyze entrepreneurial activity, and organize events and workshops. The guidelines and scope of each programme/initiative may differ. Hence, you are encouraged to explore this online portal to find the programme/initiative that may best suit your needs.
